PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is expected to campaign for the Philippines’ bid for a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) when he attends the UN General Assembly this month.
PH has chance of getting UNSC seat - Manalo
Former Foreign Affairs secretary Enrique Manalo said that the Philippines has a good chance of getting a seat in the UNSC for the term 2027 to 2028.
The Philippine missions overseas sought the support of African and Latin American countries, he said, when he faced the Commission on Appointments, which tackled his nomination as the Philippine Permanent Representative to the UN in New York.
“We have been campaigning hard for the past years at various levels. The President is scheduled to go to the UN this month to lobby,” Manalo said.
The CA confirmed Manalo’s nomination as well as the ad interim appointments of seven senior Department of Foreign Affairs officials as ambassadors and the promotion of 16 middle-level DFA officers.

The CA also approved the ad interim appointments of 20 generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines., This news data comes from:http://sbc-kw-ud-ew.yamato-syokunin.com
